The Commission takes its task to heart, and looks to the wholistic development of all the sites under its jurisdiction. Since its inception, its role has diversified over the years, thereby requiring the need for the expansion of its original responsibilities as well as the inclusion of new functions. As such, the NCC presently operates with a staff of over one thousand employees and in addition to the Lifeguard and Ranger services it provided since its inception, it now has specialised services which include a Mechanical Workshop and a Buildings & Works Department, which provide all the material services needed for the daily operation of the organisation and the maintenance of its sites. It is also the home of a Nursery and Garden Shop which provides a wide range of indoor and outdoor ornamental plants, as well as gardening and plant supplies.
Another relatively new feature, is the Commercial Landscaping and Maintenance Section. This section provides landscaping and maintenance services to both the public and private sectors, at very competitive rates. |
